Technorati tag(s):

XWKK5 firmware for sgs2 was released a few days back. It's not official firmware, I don't think.

Anyway, Intratech provided a frankenstein firmware. Here's how to cook it to your own satisfaction:

  • get the frankenstein firmware. Get CF-root kernel too
  • get dsixda kitchen if you haven't already
  • unzip the firmware, un tar and put it in dsixda-kitchen/original_update
  • run dsixda-kitchen/menu
  • set up our working folder.
  • we can add root, busybox, bash, etc.
  • since we're using stock/frankenstein firmware, we need to deodex
  • before choosing build rom, change anything in WORKING_FOLDER*/; add apk, remove apk, etc
  • build rom
  • we're done
