Here's a screencast about cooking an android rom, in this case an i8150 rom, with dsixda-kitchen.
I've had good luck cooking roms for htc, sgs2 and sgw.
In essence, we have to download dsixda-kitchen and install. Thanks dsixda for an amazing tool.
I'm using a vmware instance to cook this. The image is running ubuntu and dsixda-kitchen 0.193. Hopefully, I can release this soon. But it's huge (3GB!)
With that released, anyone can try and learn and cook a rom! Oh, and you need to know basic linux. Next post, I'll try and run through the process of cooking using the vmware image.
