No, not forwarding X rated materials but forwarding X sessions with ssh.

It's easy, really. Just that some times one tend to miss some steps.

  • edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config and enable XForwarding and TCPForwarding
  • make sure you have xauth on the hosts you're sshing to. i know i've missed this since I don't install X on the hosts.
  • on the client, ie your host, do: $ssh -X remotehost #or $ssh -Y remotehost

If there's problem, use the -vv to see what the problem is. I know that helped me figure out that I'm missing XFree86-xauth.

After installing xauth, all's peachy.

p/s - is the comment form working? or are there no visitors at all? :P
