Ever had one of those characters not rendering correctly for your web page? Ever wondered how or what really happened?

Newer apache httpd comes with AddDefaultCharset set to UTF-8. With that, all things funky happens when one copy and paste from any windows apps.

Characters not recognized will be swapped with something like ? or many others.

Change AddDefaultCharset to ISO-8859-1 to work around this. The better solution is to change the said character to the web entity name; e.g <
